A society for military aviation enthusiasts interested in the East Anglia region. RAF Mildenhall, RAF Lakenheath, RAF Marham, Wattisham, STANTA range etc
The Suffolk Military Aviation Society is a group of 300+ aviation enthusiasts with an interest in RAF Mildenhall, RAF Lakenheath, RAF Marham, STANTA Range, Wattisham as well as anywhere modern military aircraft may be seen in the East Anglia region.
We offer a monthly movements report, run a monthly photo competition, trips organised to bases and other aviation sites. In 2020, we also have access to official merchandise offered for sale from some of the local bases.
As an aviation enthusiasts group, we have based lists, radio frequencies, locations and other utilities that would assist anyone wishing to visit the East Anglian bases. For further details of what is available to members, please see the bottom of this page.

It is hoped that in 2021 we may even be able to restart our visits to bases, Heritage Centres, museums etc which are currently suspended due to COVID. We also soon to start a Twitter Page.

Military Aircraft Markings
First published in the 1970s, Military Aircraft Markings has become an indispensable annual publication for aircraft enthusiasts, historians and students of military aviation.
At the heart of Military Aircraft Markings is the most complete listing of all the aircraft of the UK Armed Forces; the Royal Air Force, Royal Navy, Army and associated units.
For each entry the military serial, aircraft type, unit/operator and usual base are given.

Milton Keynes Aviation Society
We are a friendly group of enthusiasts who meet each month to hear high quality speakers on a variety of aviation topics. Have a look at our Lecture Programme and come along as a visitor for £5 (no charge for members).
We visit RAF/USAF bases, special events, manufacturers, etc. as you can see from our Visits Programme. There is usually no charge for members other than a donation to a charity chosen by our host. Members receive a monthly MKAS Newsletter.
Membership costs £22 per year (Membership Form on the Archives and Documents page).
As the Milton Keynes Branch of Air-Britain our members can buy top class Air-Britain publications at a substantial discount.
Air-Britain Stansted Branch
Air-Britain Stansted Branch was established in 1967 to act a focal point for aviation enthusiasts and historians in the area around London-Stansted Airport. The aim of the Branch is to enable those with an interest in aviation the opportunity to meet and share knowledge and experiences. The meetings are open to all and membership of Air-Britain is not a pre-requisite. We pride ourselves on the friendly relaxed atmosphere.
Branch meetings are normally held monthly on the first Tuesday of each month. Meetings take place at St John’s Church Hall in Stansted Mountfitchet for more information on the meetings and location please click here
In addition to meetings the Branch also organises occasional visits to airfields, museums and other aviation events. From 2001 until 2018 the Branch organised the annual Air-Britain Classic Fly-In

Stansted Airport Movements
The blog is intended to act as a complement to the very comprehensive STN Aviation Enthusiasts’ Google group and mailing list. While the group acts as an exchange of spotted and expected aircraft, the main purpose of this blog is to be a historical record.
Initially formed in 2015 as Club Coins UK, a specialist coin company, our product range evolved along with our customer base leading to a rebrand in September 2019 to Runway25.
Runway25 is an online shop that has challenge coins, patches and key rings as core products.
Runway25 owner, Tom, has first hand experience of the armed forces having served in the British Army as a technician on the Apache helicopter. This knowledge of the forces, combined with passion for aviation enables us to continue to deliver quality products with modern designs and excellent customer service.

Scottish Air News
Initially formed in 1965, the group has grown over the years, producing its own magazine of Scottish movements.
The magazine went all colour, initially as a test from July 2005, and the Group took the decision to invest in its own high quality printer in 2007. During 2006 the Group produced its first Archive DVDs, meaning that every edition of the magazine back to 1965 would be available at a reasonable price, assisting historians and enthusiasts alike in documenting Scotland’s aviation history.
SCAN continues to flourish beyond its 50th anniversary, celebrated in November 2015, as a core of enthusiasts continue to produce the country’s best non-professional aviation magazine.

Welcome to UK Airfields, this website is to show my photography of airfields, aircraft and aviation-related memorials around the UK and overseas. All of the photos are taken by myself. I have been researching airfields and aviation memorials for a long time and I have a huge archive of photos going back a number of years.
Malta Aviation Society
The Malta Aviation Society is a non-governmental organisation and non-profit-making body and presently has over 150 members, founded in 1971. The aim of the Society is to foster interest in aviation matters in general, with a particular focus on aircraft spotting, aviation photography and related matters.
The Malta Aviation Society has been organising the Malta International Airshow since 1993. Preparations are made all year round for the annual event which nowadays is the prime showcase of the Society.
MAS caters for anyone with an interest in aviation, be it aircraft spotting, photography, aviation art, aviation communications etc and you will find yourself at home’ once aviation becomes the subject of any discussion.
